Connected APIs For Vodafone Germany.
Vodafone Germany
Zentive used the MuleSoft Anypoint platform to build the APIs behind Vodafone's expansion in Germany.
- 1,000+ APIs Deployed
- 18.5M Households Served
- 70%+ Of German Homes Reached
Vodafone’s proposed merger with Unitymedia was approved by the European Commission in 2019, making the group the market leader in German fixed-line services. The organisation expanded to serve over 18.5 million households, surpassing Deutsche Telekom’s 18 million and reaching more than 70% of German homes.
The Challenge
Vodafone needed the merged entities to integrate cleanly, to maintain consistent customer experiences and satisfy regulatory requirements. Key priorities included a rapid and dependable API strategy, with emphasis on security, speed of deployment, and flexibility, alongside the capability to transform data to meet partner needs.
Our Solution
Zentive deployed the MuleSoft Anypoint platform as the integration partner, facilitating the deployment of 1000+ APIs across multiple business divisions and external partners. The infrastructure evolved from an on-premises deployment to hybrid-cloud with AWS, incorporating DevOps automation for improved dependability and reduced costs.
Additional features included customised experience layers, mock response capabilities for schema visibility, and services registered in Anypoint Exchange to promote reusability.
